REAL WEDDING: Louise & Kyle, Private Property, Banana QLD

We have to admit, when Louise first called us and said she was getting married to Kyle at their property in Banana - it did require a google search to determine where in the world Banana actually was?! It was there that all the fun started with the couple, sharing plenty of fun loving moments throughout their planning.

Lou as we came to call her had a vintage boho concept in mind with an ideal to tie elements of both of these styles into the relaxed, outback QLD location. The ceremony would take place overlooking the ranges, with red dirt under feet. While the reception took place under the stars, with ample festoon lighting overhead.

We assisted the couple in fine tuning their visual concept, assessing infrastructure requirements, briefing and coordinating all styling suppliers and of course bringing their vision to life. Our team packed their cars to the brim with gorgeous native blooms the morning before the big day and set off from Toowoomba, heading towards Banana some 500km+ away.

Working alongside incredible suppliers, including catering masterminds Alfreshco, renowned rural Australian photographer Edwina Robertson and one of Rockhampton's most eclectic hire businesses Vintage Hire ensured our couples private property wedding was one to remember!

REAL WEDDING: Allie & Nico, Private Property, Thallon QLD

Wed on their family property, an incredible amount of rain had fallen at Thallon in the 48 hours prior to the wedding but nothing could dampen these love birds and their extended families and friends excitement for the impending nuptials.

We were thrilled to be asked to design Allie's country garden bouquets, reception blooms and invitation suite. Her talented family and friends pulled together a stunningly, bright and chic day - a true reflection of the Bride herself.

Allie's edgy Jennifer Gifford gown stole the show, which later in the evening paired with the perfect wellies as the ground began to soften thanks to the couples guests making their mark on the dance floor.

REAL WEDDING: Kara & Ben, Private Property, Moonbi NSW

It’s not often we get to travel across state’s to coordinate our clients special days for them – which is why this one was quite special! Kara and Ben decided that they would be married on Kara’s family property outside of Tamworth in New South Wales. The rolling hills that surrounded the picturesque location made for the perfect setting for guests to admire the never-ending views while enjoying canapés.

Kara’s style really flowed through into her wedding day, with an elegant and timeless palette of grey, timber, white and greenery. Long banquet tables adorned full-length greenery garlands, contrasting against the crisp white linens and timber folding chairs. The marquee reception took place on top of Kara’s parents’ tennis court and provided the perfect compliment to the colour palette – literally from the ground up!

An abundance of candlelight scattered throughout the textured garlands and amplified the details within the beautifully hand painted green watercolour placecards as well as the slightly patterned grey and white napkins.

Large chandeliers projected a captivating pattern onto the roof of the marquee, while an abundance of fairy lights filled the room with a warm aesthetic. The newlywed’s night concluded with an exciting fireworks display that left guests astounded.

Congratulations again to the Mr & Mrs – we were so thrilled to be there. A x

REAL WEDDING: Meg & Mitch, Lake Moogerah

We are strong advocates for hosting weddings in locations that are truly special to our couples – such a deep-rooted connection can never be surpassed. Which is why when Meg and Mitch first contacted us and said they wanted to host their big day at their families ski-house at Lake Moogerah, we were thrilled.

The adventure didn’t stop at their choice of venue, as the couple looked to host their very own 'Wedstival' overlooking the lake – the perfect reflection of the couples personality as well as their love for adventure, nature and a damn good time!

Letting the natural beauty of the location do the talking, a combination of timber and metal high bars, barrels, lower lying seating areas, campfires and trestle tables ensured the guests could enjoy the view of the glistening lake as the sunset.

And of course, what would a 'Wedstival' be without an abundance of festoon lights overhead.

The drink masters from Gathering Events topped off the day with their gorgeous vintage caravan, plus festoon lights overhead and a full length antipasti table – guests were treated to some delicious delights both of the liquid and edible varieties.

Native blooms in a combination of rustic jugs and jars were the perfect compliment to the free spirited aesthetic of the day, were the couple of course enjoyed a newlywed boat ride on the lake post ceremony for ol’ times sake!

REAL WEDDING: Margie & Rob, Gabbinbar Homestead

Throughout the planning process, one of the most cherished forces behind a spectacular day is an incredibly stylish bride - of which Margie is. Upon meeting Margie and her mother Anna, we were enthralled with excitement for what would be one of our most beautiful weddings yet.

The day before the wedding saw Blue Willow and the bride's mum and aunt buried in floral goodness, with almost every inch of the venue dripping in white blooms and bundles of foliage.

To compliment the timeless provincial space natural linens were incorporated with the finest of pinstripes, timber crossback chairs (our fav!), rattan chargers, raw timber candlesticks and the most stunning watercolour stationery.

Outside was an equally neutrally toned oasis with a pressed tin bar, linen directors chairs, rattan chairs and stools, ceramic drums and timber signage (again, dripping in floral goodness).

We look back on this stunning day and wish we could do it all over again with the gorgeous couple! Congratulations again to Mr and Mrs Sartain x
