REAL WEDDING: Jayden & Jamie, Jimbour House

Jayden had a pretty special connection to Jimbour House. Her father had been the gardener there for over 13 years before he walked her down the aisle on a very patch of grass that he had tended to for all that time.

Staying true to the natural beauty of the venue and Jayden's fathers hard work, we kept the couples colour palette earthy.  We executed lengthy garlands of green gum with scattered pillar and tealight candles throughout for the couples double-width feasting tables.

From the ceiling hung a suspended, original wagon wheel with fairy lights draping from all corners of the corrugated iron hanger to this central focal point. The linens and chairs were kept crisp, white. While the stationery featured metallic accents to compliment the gleaming rose gold bridesmaids dresses.

Blue Willow Weddings also designed the bride and her bridesmaids bouquets, as well as her groom and groomsmens buttonholes. We incorporated classic white and apricot hued blooms, dusty miller and of course, gum.

This country wedding was an absolute heart warmer for us - the couples personal connection to the venue, their gorgeous kids beaming with pride and their absolute trust in our vision for their day gave us all the feels.

Congratulations again Mr & Mrs Doherty - may the memories last a lifetime x

LOVE LETTERS: What others have to say

LOVE LETTERS: What others have to say

"In all honesty, I hadn’t even considered hiring a Wedding Planner or Stylist prior to speaking with Annie.  I am a self-confessed control freak who lives by the 'if you want something done right, do it yourself' motto.  Oh how wrong I was.." - Mrs Beck

REAL WEDDING: Sarah & Herb, Jimbour House

Sarah and her family where an absolute joy to get to know in the lead up to her wedding, Originally from Jimbour, it was a given that Sarah and her soon to be Welsh fiancé Herb would be married at the enchanting Jimbour House, just outside of Dalby.

From our first meeting, Sarah and I set out to style a timeless, crisp, country wedding for her 100 guests. Her dream of a long hanging garden above her 12 person bridal table using an antique ladder from her family farm was an incredibly lengthy task – pun intended! But it was worth every minute.

We kept Sarah’s colour palette nice and earthy – incorporating lots of greenery, timber textures, rich golds, contrasting perfectly with the crisp white linens and hints of blue throughout.

Sarah and Herb said their vows in front of a timber love sign, filled with flowering plants, followed by their canapes among the breathtaking courtyard. The hanger hosted the gorgeous reception, flowing onto the outdoor dancefloor where guests danced the night away under the fairy lights.

The couples floristry was a real stand out, from the draped hanging garden, to the gumnut buttonholes – it all worked beautifully.

We assisted Sarah and Herb with their concept development, on the day styling as well as their floristry throughout the venue.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Herbert for the days we won't be forgetting anytime soon - A x
