I have known Ash all my life and for all the years that I've known her, I knew if anything, her special day was going to be an absolute blast for her and her guests.
Ash began planning her big day shortly after her engagement to Michael. She knew she wanted a country setting, with creature comforts for her guests and a concentration on native blooms and rustic touches.
The Jondaryan Woolshed was a perfect setting for the couple, who naturally appreciated the heritage beauty of the venue as well as the blank canvas it allowed.
Both Ash and Michael were readily involved in planning their day, adding a personal touch to almost every element - whether it be the hand written signage, or handmade relish for guests to take home, the couple put love into every decision.
We incorporated loads of raw, rustic timber to compliment the venue including the vintage timber chairs for the reception space, handcrafted arbour and bench seats for the ceremony, as well as the timber table runners to add height and texture.
An abundance of native blooms with pops of pink and yellow were accented with green vases, the most divine winter bridesmaids dress colour, hanging green gum installations and gold calligraphy place cards on individual gum leaves.
In true Ash style, their day was filled with smiles and laughter from the couples family and friends - despite the unruly wind. After the couple said 'I do', the grey winters sky cleared and a beautiful sunset acted as the most fitting backdrop for the newlyweds, while their guests danced the night away inside the historical Woolshed.
