REAL WEDDING: Kristy & Dan, Gabbinbar Homestead

In the event industry it's quite common for a lot of clients to shy away from a Winter celebration - particularly those local to Toowoomba as we all know how unpredictable the weather can be!

But when Kristy & Dan set a date in July for their Gabbinbar Homestead nuptials we knew it was the perfect opportunity to play on the incredible beauty and intimacy that a short Winter's day bestows.

Creatively our imaginations were immediately drawn to these elements - glass, white, grey, candlelight, candlelight and more candlelight!

Luxury oozed with the crispest of white blooms, showcased in their natural glory using glass vase ware and linear stem work.

Place settings continued with the grey, white and glass palette combining ornate edged glass flatware, grey French linen napkins and hand lettered acrylic place cards.

The couples cozy ceremony called for an abundance of candlelight and rose petals adorning the aisle. While their garden party continued the intimate feel with lounge suit areas for guests to enjoy the last of the afternoon sun.

Our obsession with candlelight for our couple continued inside to the candlelit wall that guests admired featuring over 100 glass cylinder pillar candles.

We felt so lucky to be a part of this lovely couples special day, featuring their gorgeous three children. We wish you all so much love on your journey in life together x

NEW LOOK: A fresh new look for Blue Willow

As we say goodbye to another fabulous year we welcome 2018 with a fresh new look here at Blue Willow.

With the New Year we are so excited to unveil to you all our branding overhaul. Encompassing a logo and business name refresh, as well as a website and social media overhaul.

As we venture into some new areas with our business we felt removing ‘weddings’ from the name was needed - now simply ‘Blue Willow’.

The ethos behind our new approach to the market is for a number of reasons, namely our diversification of services launching in 2018. Including working more in the corporate event styling sector with various fundraisers, launches, openings and public events coming up this year.

As well as launching our brand new hire range in the first half of the year (stay tuned for more on this one!) we needed to ensure our branding encapsulated our holistic approach to event styling.

We hope you love it as much as we do! Although only some slight tweaking, we think it all looks pretty darn gorgeous.

REAL WEDDING: Louise & Kyle, Private Property, Banana QLD

We have to admit, when Louise first called us and said she was getting married to Kyle at their property in Banana - it did require a google search to determine where in the world Banana actually was?! It was there that all the fun started with the couple, sharing plenty of fun loving moments throughout their planning.

Lou as we came to call her had a vintage boho concept in mind with an ideal to tie elements of both of these styles into the relaxed, outback QLD location. The ceremony would take place overlooking the ranges, with red dirt under feet. While the reception took place under the stars, with ample festoon lighting overhead.

We assisted the couple in fine tuning their visual concept, assessing infrastructure requirements, briefing and coordinating all styling suppliers and of course bringing their vision to life. Our team packed their cars to the brim with gorgeous native blooms the morning before the big day and set off from Toowoomba, heading towards Banana some 500km+ away.

Working alongside incredible suppliers, including catering masterminds Alfreshco, renowned rural Australian photographer Edwina Robertson and one of Rockhampton's most eclectic hire businesses Vintage Hire ensured our couples private property wedding was one to remember!
